Ed Robblee has sent us two black and white photographs for inclusion
on the web site. He hopes individuals may be able to help identify some
of the subjects. Captions below each indicate what Ed knows and doesn't.
The pictures were taken in 1947.

BW 01
Starting on the left, ground Gretchen Ann Robblee, Now
Lee, born 1941, lives in PA where she grew up, daughter of Franklin
(Pro) Robblee and wife Helen. Next is "ME" with white spot on my
forehead. Edward Minot Robblee, born 1941, grew up in Massachusetts.
Moved to Maine in my teens, presently living in Holden, Maine. I'm
holding one of my twin brothers, born in 1946, William Alden Robblee,
now living in California, Next head only, is my brother Albert Raymond
Robblee, born in 1944, now lives in Fryeburg, Maine. He is holding the
other twin, Wayne Richard Robblee, now living in Feeding Hills,
Massachusetts.
Next group on the ground, Frank Robblee, son of Perry and Mary Robblee.
Now deceased. In front of him is Gretchen's sister, Judy Beth Robblee,
born 1944 or 45. Now deceased and Frank's brother, David (Butch) Robblee,
born 1941. Last I knew, he was living in Wyoming. I do not recognize the
two kids on the right.
The couple standing behind me and my brothers is Mom and Dad. Marion
Charlotte (Bertram) Robblee. Died two years later (1949) and Dad, Edward
Seaman Robblee, died in 1962.
In the middle of the picture with his hand on his chin is Maxwell
Robblee (Uncle Mack), my Dad's brother. Mack fought in Europe in WWII.
He was in the same tent with Ernie Pyle (famous journalist) When a
grenade blew them out, with minor injuries. He was also in the Korean
war. He retired from the Army as a Captain, then put 20 years in to the
Post Office. Everybody liked Mack. He passed away in the late 90s.
Between him and my folks I think is Gretchen and Judy's Dad, Franklin
(Pro) Robblee, not positive on this one. He is talking to a profile
behind Dad's head that I do not recognise.

BW02
All the people I know are on the right side, so I'll
start with "ME"(Edward Minot Robblee) the little boy on the ground.
Sitting next to me is Frank Robblee, oldest son of Perry and Mary
(Bowers) Robblee. (She was a British war bride.) Right behind Frank is
his brother David Alden (Butch) Robblee. I don't know the little boy to
the right of him, or the woman holding his arm. Directly behind him is
his and Frank's mother, Mary (Bowers) Robblee. Peeking out from behind
her is her husband, Perry Minot Robblee. The older lady to the right is
my Dad's mom and my grandmother, Annie (MacKinnon) Robblee, Widow of
Minot P. Robblee. Over her shoulder is my mom, Marion Charlotte
(Bertram) Robblee, holding one of the twins, Wayne Richard Robblee.
Below his feet is Judy Beth Robblee. I don't recognize the man next to
her or the man berween mom and dad. Dad, Edward Seaman Robblee, is
holding the other twin, William Alden Robblee. In front of Dad is
Gretchen Ann Robblee, and behind hin in the dark glasses and hat is
Albert Stewart Robblee, who was a bit actor at this time. This is all I
know in this picture. I believe this was taken at Amesbury, Mass, so
maybe some of the Massachusetts Robblees could identify people I can't.
There may be more that I can add, but don't know it. Ask me and maybe I
can recall some other info. Email me any time and I'll do my best.
